GOAL Getters is an educational program that teaches young people about global citizenship and social responsibility while empowering them to take action in their communities. GOAL Getters provides free, valuable resources to educators.
GOAL Getters in the classroom
Through GG, students explore other cultures and learn about the importance of social responsibility while working toward one or more service goals to make a difference in their community and world. Throughout the process, students gain a global perspective and learn how to be leaders in their school and community.

Our Impact
GOAL Getters is a proud supporter of She's the First, a non-for-profit organization that sponsors girls' education in developing nations so they can be the first in their families to graduate high school. We help teachers organize classroom fundraisers for She's the First and provide resources for a variety of service learning opportunities.
GOAL Getters Film: The School of Hope
Second grade classes at Claxton Elementary collaborated to produce our first GOAL Getters "film" titled The School of Hope. This narrative is about a young Ugandan girl named Thea who faces a tough challenge. She dreams of going to school but doesn't have the money and her family needs her help at home. (Did you know that only ONE in five girls in the developing world finish primary school?) Watch our film to find out how children can help each other, even if they live on opposite sides of the world. This is what global citizenship is all about..realizing that we are a global family and that no matter who you are or where you come from, you can always help make a difference. Check it out!

GOAL Getters founder, Becca Wertheim, implemented the GG curriculum in her 2nd grade class during her student teaching experience. Students learned about global citizenship and fundraised $500 for She's the First to sponsor nearly two years of school for a young girl in rural Nepal. Now, GOAL Getters has grown to empower more students and teachers to change the world.
